About Us
A very warm welcome to Sonning Glebe WI
Sonning Glebe WI started in 1964 and our membership now stands around 50 members, we are a mixed age group. We meet at the Pearson Hall Pearson Road Sonning RG4 6UL at 7.30 p.m. on the 3rd Monday in the month, except in July.
In July we have a Garden meeting which is a BBQ in one of our members garden.
At monthly meetings we have a varied mix of interesting speakers, we also enjoy many other regular activities including;
Meals out Breakfast, Lunch and Evening Meals. Knit & natter and Rummikub evenings
An annual skittles evening, quiz evening and regular theatre trips are organised. Also a summer and a harvest supper.
Sonning Glebe are involved in the local community selling teas and cakes at the Village Show in September each year and at the village Scarecrow event which is held every other year.
Each year we support a local charity. We also support ACWW (Associated Country Women of the World) by having a bring and buy table at our monthly meetings.
