Our Future World

INTRODUCTION To Our Future World sub-committee

Promoting Hope, Pride, Respect and Inspiration

Two Women

This committee has been formed to help educate our members about science, technology and the environment, with the purpose of motivating change.  We put on talks and events, and write articles for our own Berkshire News.  Previous talks have included a very popular local bee keeper and a distinguished paleontologist.  We also run practical workshops such as making beeswax wraps.

"How do we see the future? What will the environment be like? How can the WI help to keep as healthy and ecologically sound as possible? The future must not be just about money and wealth; there must be a shift in conscience."  Jennie Abbott-Hauxwell, Our Future World.

Our volunteers are:

Chairman:

Frances Strange, Whitchurch Hill WI

Volunteers:

Angela Wright, Redlands WI

Annette Dolphin, Brimpton WI

Jennie Abbott-Hauxwell, Burghfield WI

Please get in touch if you have any ideas of things we can cover.  We are always looking for new volunteers.  You would be very welcome.
